alright!!!! new stuff!!!!

Yngwie Malmsteen - Concerto Suite for Electric Guitar and Orchestra (DVD), this DVD is great!!! the songs are awesome. Unfortunately, Yngwie lets his ego run wild as he tends to go too fast on some parts, making the songs sound crappy. But the orchestra always manages to catch up with him after a few seconds. But there's only a few times he rushes. Concert is great, and it has a dumb like minute-long audio interview with him that isn't worth watching (listening, rather). Excellent DVD, though.

Dio - Sacred Heart (DVD), a great little concert with kinda crappy sound quality, but still very enjoyable. It gave me a new respect for guitarist Craig Goldie. I was disappointed with his tame work on Master of the Moon, but the guy can really shred. He shows it on this DVD. I just hope he shows more aggressive guitar work on the next CD. But a good concert, complete with the slaying of a dragon.

Megadeth - Arsenal of Megadeth (DVD), I've been waiting for this for a while. Packed with old interviews, videos, and performances. Even clips from Gigantour, and I hear there's a clip from Marty Friedman's audition with the band hidden. That should be kinda cool. Just a big collection of Megadeth stuff to watch. What else could you ask for.

I guess I only ended getting DVD's. Oh well. I'm hoping to buy some CD's next time around, including: Edguy - Rocket Ride, Evergrey's new album, and most of all... MINDCRIME 2!!!! and i don't care what anybody says about it. I've heard some songs from it, and it sounds to be much better than their past few, which aren't too bad either. It won't be any stunning return to form, but it's gonna be good. AND THAT'S FINAL!!!!

illevor, you're right. a friend showed it to me. not very power metal anymore but still sounds great. i thought trinidad was dumb, though.

Evergrey - Monday Morning Apocolypse, been waiting for some new stuff from them ever since their last one. i loved it, and this one is pretty good, but just overall not that great. some great songs, but it doesn't sound as progressive and just sounds a little more simple. and i really don't like the title track. it's ok until the chorus. sounds kinda dumb, but when he puts more aggression into it at the end, it sounds a lot better. anyway, i'm sure i'll love it after a few listens.

Beyond Twilight - Section X, i was excited when i heard that jorn lande was their vocalist on the first one. then i saw that kelly carpenter is on this one, and i thought, "hey, just as awesome!" some great vocals on the album as well as cool, dark music with good playing. but this album is just kinda wierd. the last two songs are really good and the instrumental is pretty cool (wish it were longer). but not a great first half. again i'll probably love this one after a while.

Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime II, ok... of course, not NEARLY as good as mindcrime I. some great lyrics and their sound is definitely heavier and more rockin' than their last few ones, but it just wasn't that good. and i've gotta say, there are some pretty great songs. songs that gave me hope. but then some were just... too much going on. to wierd. the song with dio was pretty cool. some good guitar work, a lot of harmony stuff. some great aspects of it, but just not what i was hoping for. and i knew it wasn't gonna be a return to their sound from back then because NO ONE ever goes back to their old sound. and for the smart asses out there, yeah i'm sure there's a couple, but 99% don't return... can't return to the way they used to sound like. anyway, i think the album will grow on me some, but i just had too much hope. but from listening to this, i see that queensryche is still very much alive.

just got metal church's new album - a light in the dark. awesome album. much heavier and darker than the last one. i really liked the weight of the world, but this one i think is going to grow big on me. great riffing and ronny munroe is singing pretty heavy on the album. the whole band sounds good, AND jeff plate is on drums here. great band, great album.
