wow...you like Savatage too.
A few years ago,Chris Caffery(not sure if he's even with them anymore)was at my house. I didn't even know who he was at the time.
Anyway,this is what transpired...I was at this bar and my friend John West(singer for Artension and Royal Hunt) just happened to be there and I asked him to come over to my house and sign some CD's. John introduced me to Chris and said that he played for Savatage. So the three of us go to my haunted brownstone and John autographs my CD's.
Later that night,I call my girlfriend and told her that this guy Chris from Savatage had stopped by with John (she flipped out!! OMG, Chris was at your house?!!), I just laughed and said "yeah".
Now I have a few Savatage CD's and their fantastic.(However,I no longer have that same girlfriend...and that's a good thing).
Okay,back to the topic:

This band is best classified as epic symphonic power metal, which is power metal accompanied by epic, rousing choruses and chants and epic orchestral music, similar to the orchestral music in movies such as Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Conan, and Lord of the Rings, only much, MUCH more powerful!
